blogging my way through this smoggy world

more giblets, please!

No dog has ever loved turkey and rice more than B!

I had my last day of classes today, I'll be outlining and studying my booty off until finals. My first one is on December 5th. My grandmothers flew in from NC last Saturday and Jacob comes on Wednesday (tomorrow). Jack is staying in Grand Forks to study and will have turkey with the Faircloths. Also, two other out-state-students from my class are coming over for turkey on Thursday.

Hope everyone stuffs their tummies and has a Happy Thanksgiving!

annoyances

The custom here in ND is to take your shoes off when you enter someone's house. I find it really annoying to untie and remove my shoes just to enter someone's house. Then you have to walk around in your socks, not to mention you're exposed to looking at everyone else's nasty feet or socks. I can understand taking your shoes off if they are covered with snow or some other grime, but otherwise, I want to keep my shoes on.

this makes me laugh (& smile)

Jack is the one in the green jersey, leaning over heckling the opponent who just got put in the penalty box (a hockey thing). I wonder what he's saying?!

pets

I am starting to bore myself with all this talk of dogs, so I am going to move on to another kind of pet- pet peeves.

Before law school I was told "if you don't know the class jerk by the end of four weeks, it's you." Well, I figured out after three days who that person would be, but I would like to add a few more to my list. But before I do, I want to clarify that for the most part, I really like everyone in my class, especially the tall, handsome guy I sit next to.

Anyways, my newest pet peeve is people who don't help. I do not understand why someone would choose to not share their outlines (fancy name for notes) when they took the class last year. I also don't understand why someone who has already graduated won't help because she was a TA for the class and feels she would somehow helping me (in my own words) "cheat"...furthermore, that person had a different professor than me. Also, finals is around the corner and people are starting to get competitive, so they're not wanting to help others understand a concept.

This is all mindboggling to me. If I understood any of the concepts I learned, I would gladly help someone in my co-counsel. But then, I guess I'm just a nice person!

crazy dog lady

I have been thinking about what I would get if my daddy told me I could get a puppy (you know, like if I were Malia or Sasha Obama). Of course I think it would be so much fun to have two dogs and a cat, but being that I have none, I'd be thrilled with just one. So if I could get just one, what would it be- a standard poodle or a golden doodle? I am in love with these two dogs who I met on google. So until my lucky day comes, I am just going to keep on dreaming. Standard above, goldendoodle below.

what was she thinking?

This is as political as this blog is going to get. I just have one question for Michelle. . .what on earth were you thinking when you walked out in front of half a million people in Chicago, not to mention the entire nation, in that dress? Girlfriend, we need to talk.

where's waldi?

This morning I was thinking about Claire. I can't help it, I am obsessed with dogs. When Rev gets a dane, Casa Watt is going to be just like the 1966 movie, The Ugly Dachshund, except Paul (the dane's to-be name) is going to be handsome, not ugly. Paul and Claire are going to be such buds.

This is a picture of Waldi, the mascot for Germany's 1972 Olympics. Isn't he so cute?!
