blogging my way through this smoggy world

They could have fixed this?!

I remember the day this picture was taken- it was second grade, 1989. I woke up and thought, "fooie, my hair is acting crazy (as usual) and it's school picture day." So I did my usual and threw a bow in it. (I never left the house without a bow). But kids these days don't have to worry about such things, because, according to the NYT, kids airbrush such things. I wonder if they could airbrush a few of my front teeth in, too? *P.S., check out how I brushed my lovely bangs to the side. I thought it looked SO good that way.

Clearly dazzling!

Pardon me, but clearly this guy saw my Oct. 11 entry regarding my love of sequins.

End of the series

The cyclocross series I raced in consisted of three races over three Sundays. I raced in all but the second one, but was still able to tie for first.

Cyclocross Race

Cyclocross racing is a big sport in Europe. The typical cross bike is similar to a road bike, except the tires are a bit bigger and more aggressive than road tires. The course is a loop with obstacles and riders compete to see how many loops they can do in a certain time. I used to have a cross bike and raced little bit, however; I sold it before coming to law school. There was a Halloween cross race, so I put my Hooters uniform over my cycling clothes and road my mountain bike. I came in first in the beginner category, but did not stay for the awards ceremony because I needed to hit the books.Passing guy in kilt.

Finish line
