Brett Farve couldn't give us (Viking fans) a spot in the Super Bowl, but I'm over it because today we had no school thanks to a blizzard named Brett.
Lauren and Tim are getting married in one month- woohoo! Here are pictures from their couples' shower and Lauren's bachelorrete party.
Now for shower pictures
*Boy are they lucky I was there to capture every moment. I am trying to convince Lauren to save a penny and hire me as the wedding photographer. (I am sure Tim would approve.)
For Trial Team we had practice in Fargo this weekend. We practiced in the Federal and County Courthouses. Here is a picture of Friday night in the Federal courthouse with the Judge's permanent law clerk.
Lauren had a shower and a bachelorette party in Dallas at the beginning January. I flew out of Fargo. Even though Jack and I broke up in November, I have remained friends with his sister-in-law, Aubrey. I stayed with the Zugers the night before I flew out. Aidan was about to turn two, so we celebrated his birthday.
Aidan about to go outside and help his daddy shovel snow.
Aidan and his cupcake.
The elephant book I gave him.
I love that he loves to read.
In November, Beth and I climbed in a competition at NDSU and cleaned house. Beth took second place and yours truly, first. A few memories of the competition include:
- Bringing flash cards to study before the competition started
- After seeing all the manly girls before the comp started, thinking we were going to be creamed.
- After seeing these girls climb, formulating a strategy to win (aka, climb harder routes).
- When 3rd place was announced, turning to each other and whispering, "whose she, she sucks shi*." (an ever popular UND hockey game cheer that the fans say when the other team is being announced- classy.)
- Accepting my first place award- an extra large harness, and saying to the announcer "um, this is too big"
- Trying to talk my way into a better award because it didn't seem fair that 2nd place got an award she could use (free admission into next year's comp).
- Celebrating our victories with chicken nuggets from McDonald's
I was keeping my fingers crossed that the weather would be in the 70s while I am in Texas. Instead, it looks like I'll be bringing the cold weather. The high on Thursday is 32, on Friday 28, and Saturday 42.
